About this event

“The C Word”

C in this case stands for cybercrime which currently in the UK costs businesses around £27bn per annum which equates to £73 million a day to cyber criminals. Hear from Robbie Ross who is chief security officer with Converged Communication Solutions.

Robbie spent 22 years previously working with Grampian Police and Police Scotland. His most recent role before joining Converged was as Cybercrime Safety Prevention and Resilience Liaison Officer where he was responsible for promoting cyber security to businesses and tackling the cybercrime threat. In 2021, Robbie was awarded the Police Scotland Police Staff Member of the Year award for his work across Scotland.

In Robbie’s words “Many of us do this job for the simple reason that we don’t want to see people and businesses falling victim to cybercrime, especially when there are simple steps, they can take to protect themselves. We just have to get the message out there and tell as many people as possible.”

Robbie has dedicated himself to this aim, targeting rural geographical areas, SMEs & those in roles of significant importance who can take that message to staff, their memberships and into their personal circle.

As a business can you afford not to pay head to the “C Word”?

This event is organised by Aberdeen Entrepreneurs, the networking arm of Ideas in Partnership Ltd, a Strategic Marketing, Market research and Business Development company.
