There’s something for everyone at Cyber Scotland Week 2021

Back in April 2019, the Scottish Government ran the first ever Cyber Scotland Week. It coincided with the biggest cyber security event to ever take place in Scotland, the flagship National Cyber Security Centre conference CYBERUK, which was held the same week in Glasgow.

Fast forward 2 years and Cyber Scotland Week has become an important fixture in the Scottish cyber security diary. This year is takes place from the 22-28 February, and it is an opportunity for those of us who work in cyber security to help businesses, organisations and individuals across Scotland become more cyber aware and resilient.

No matter your level of knowledge, there will be an event happening that you will enjoy, and more importantly, take valuable advice and guidance from.

This year, I am delighted that Converged is going to have its busiest Cyber Scotland Week to date with us taking part in 6 events across 5 days.

1. Monday 22 February – ‘What on earth is cyber security’  in partnership with Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
2. Tuesday 23 February – ‘DigiShift – Starting your journey in cyber resilience’  in partnership with The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).
3. Wednesday 24 February – ‘Cyber Security Basics for Charities – a chance to learn, question and build cyber confidence’  in partnership with TechFest.
4. Thursday 25 February – ‘Build cyber security confidence with Converged’ in partnership with Aberdeen Football Club. This is a closed event for members of the AFC By Official Appointment initiative.
5. Thursday 25 February – ‘The basics of cyber security’  in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses.
6. Friday 26 February – ‘What on earth is cyber security’  in partnership with Highlands and Islands Enterprise.

There’s also the SBRC inaugural Cyber Community Awards on Thursday evening which will celebrate outstanding community hero’s, educators and events. Having been shortlisted in 2 out of 3 award categories we’re very much looking forward to the ceremony.
